Our living room window faces two of our neighbor’s yards, both of which adjoin ours. One afternoon while watching a NASCAR race, we saw our neighbor, Don, cutting his grass. He had on a well-worn ballcap with a #3 on it.
Geary began to grin, and he then said to Josh and I, “I oughtta put my Jeff Gordon hat on, and go out there and race a couple rows with him…”
We laughed heartily at that vision, and decided that if people did this regularly with their neighbors, that lawn cutting could actually become FUN!
Josh, whose funny bone was still vibrating, began to imagine news reports about drivers, and their ‘cutting machines’.
