Exciting news for our CAWSNJAWS readers!

Joshua (JAW) has decided to continue the ‘Driver vs. Driver’ articles that began over at Fronstretch.com as a collaborative effort between the two of us (I’m Cheryl, aka ‘CAW’).

Using the points standings as of June 8, we took the strengths and weaknesses of two drivers at a time and tried to determine how they would do in a one-on-one face-off (this was loosely based on the format of the great show on the Discover channel, ‘Animal Face-Off’). We paired them off starting at the top of the standings, with the first two being Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson, and went down the list.

I only committed to doing the top 10, and we completed our last driver pair-off this past Tuesday (which was Kevin Harvick vs. Ryan Newman).

Joshua’s knowledge of racing stats and ability to remember specific races and incidents made the creation of the articles a fun and interesting project to do together. Without his help I would have been doing a lot more research, and would have been lacking on all of the ‘technical insight’ that he innately has.

He enjoyed the process of comparing two racing warriors as well, and has decided to continue the driver face-offs over here at cawsnjaws.com!

He will begin with the next two on the list, which will be Jeremy Mayfield and Kasey Kahne.
