For those of you NASCAR fans that like stats and love to hate commercials, here is the breakdown for Sunday’s race (the last race of the 2011 season).

I began recording the times at the Invocation of the race at 3:02 PM, and stopped at the waving of the checkered flag at 8:08 PM (all times are EST). There was one rain delay lengthy enough (45 minutes) that I stopped recording information until the drivers were called back to their cars. I did not keep records for the pre- and post-race coverage.

ESPN was the broadcast team for this event. Included in this broadcast was ‘NASCAR Non-Stop’, commercials shown split-screen with the race broadcast. Below the regular commercials’ breakdown, you can see a breakdown of the participating sponsors and the times their ads were shown. Big thanks go out to ESPN for offering ‘NASCAR Non-Stop’, and the sponsors who permitted their products to be advertised this way.

Throughout the breakdown, you can find links to sponsors, or special items-of-interest such as links to contests and movie sites.

At a later date you can check how many times selected drivers were focused on during each race. I apologize to the CawsnJaws readers who have missed my doing this immediately following each race, but I have had a very ill family member since the spring of this year, taking up much of my time and mental energy. My Father is not so critical now, and I am deeply appreciative of the prayers offered by my many friends in the world of NASCAR.

Once I have caught up those individual races, I will do my Annual Summary of everything you ever wanted to know about the commercials shown this racing season (such as how many each network showed); and which drivers were focused on the most.

Thanks to all the CawsnJaws readers, racing radio hosts, NASCAR bloggers, and racing journalists who have used my stats, and given me credit for them. It is my pleasure to continue providing these statistics, and I plan on doing so for the foreseeable future.

For those of you NASCAR fans that like stats and love to hate commercials, or wonder how often your driver was focused on, here is the breakdown for Sunday’s race.

I began recording the times at the Invocation of the race at 2:02 PM, and stopped at the waving of the checkered flag at 5:02 PM (all times are EST).

Please note that in addition to the commercials and promos listed below there is always a sponsor’s logo that changes throughout the race in the corner of the screen beside the race ticker.

Throughout the breakdown, you can find links to sponsors, or special items-of-interest such as links to contests and movie sites. At a later date you can check how many times selected drivers were focused on during the race (this part of my report has been delayed due to the illness of a family member, and the care they require).
