JAW’s ‘HEARTRACERS / HEARTBREAKERS’
– 2016 Axalta ‘We Paint Winners’ 400 edition

Date: 6-6-16

Racetrack: Pocono Raceway

Pole Sitter: Brad Keselowski

HEARTRACERS:

  • Kurt Busch: Kurt won the race after talking advantage of a late-caution strategy. He saved fuel and got out to a big lead. Then he maintained things to secure the win.
  • Chase Elliott: Chase had a car that was competing to be the best of the day. He led the most laps. He probably would have won the race if there wasn’t another caution on lap 124.
  • Matt Kenseth: Matt lead 31 laps on route to a top-ten finish. He keeps proving he has a good car.
  • Ryan Blaney: Ryan got a top-ten in his single-car team. He did well but lost more ground in the Rookie race to Chase Elliott.
  • Dale Earnhardt Jr.: Dale finished in second place on the same strategy as Kurt Busch. He saved enough fuel to get a good finish.
  • Kyle Larson: Kyle led eight laps and got a top-fifteen finish as he continues to turn his finishes around.

HEARTBREAKERS:

  • Matt DiBenedetto: Matt was the first car out of the race due to a crash. He finished last.
  • Brian Scott: Brian got in a crash on lap 23 and finish next-to-last. His teammate Aric Almirola continues to dominate him.
  • Michael Annett: Michael was in a crash on lap 104. He was out of the race and got another bad finish for his team.
  • Austin Dillon: Austin was in a crash and finished near the back. He had some momentum going until this weekend.
  • Landon Cassill: Landon crashed with Tony Stewart and was not at fault for the crash. Tony got loose and collected him and Danica Patrick.
  • Jimmie Johnson: Jimmie was the last car who crashed. He has two Chase wins so he will re-rack for next week, barely bothered by it.
