HEARTRACERS for COMBINED RACES:

  • Race 1 – Dale Earnhardt Jr.: Dale won Duel one and will start third for the Daytona 500. He has the car to beat for the race.
  • Race 1 – Chris Buecher: Chris got a top ten finish in Duel one. He will have a good starting spot for the Daytona 500.
  • Race 2 – Kyle Busch: Kyle won Duel two and will start fourth for the Daytona 500. He has a strong car for the 500.
  • Race 2 – Ty Dillon: Ty got a top-five finish in Duel two. He will start near the front of the Daytona 500 in a poor funded team.
  • Both Races – Michael McDowell and Robert Richardson Jr.: These two drivers raced their way into the Daytona 500.

HEARTBREAKERS for COMBINED RACES:

  • Race 1 – Brian Scott: Brian crashed his car at the end of the Duel. He will have to start the Daytona 500 in a backup car.
  • Race 1 – Paul Menard: Paul retired in 21st place with a tire failure. He will start at the back of the Daytona 500.
  • Race 2 – Michael Waltrip: Michael was a driver that was not involved in the crash in Duel two. He already lost a car in a practice crash so he laid back to protect his car. He lost a lap and finished at the back.
  • Race 2 – Ryan Newman: Ryan lost an engine in race two of the Duels. He will have to start at the back of the Daytona 500.
  • Both Races – David Gilliland, Josh Wise, Reed Sorenson, and Cole Whitt: These drivers failed to race their way into the Daytona 500. They lost a lot of money.
