Because I’m a teenager and because my parents nag me to drink my milk I am going through a growth spurt right now. The last time they measured me I was ‘5 3’’.

I am taller than my Mother is and I think that is funny. I hope to be taller than my Dad is, too.

That would REALLY be funny.

That means if I could stand back to back with Jenni Thompson right now, we would be the same height exactly.

I wish I could see Jenni face-to-face instead of back-to-back, because I would like to hug her and tell her how wonderful she is to me.

She has been nice to me ever since she heard about me through my Mother. She has written about me a few times, so I though I would make it fair and write something about her.

Everyone who reads her articles has to know that she is from Arkansas, and is attending her last year of college right now.

But I’ll tell you some things that might surprise all of you, as much as they did me.

Did you know she once wanted to be an astronaut? I think it is so funny to think of her working on one of these spacestations! She must have been pretty serious, because she even went to Space Camp in Huntsville, AL, not once but TWICE!

Racecars aren’t as fast as rockets, but I am glad that she chose them instead of spaceships.

If you go back into her past farther back, you might see her on the floor of her living room, watching Piglet on TV (her favorite cartoon character).

I only liked watching Winnie the Pooh when I was very very little.

Winnie the Pooh is no Johnny Bravo.

I heard that some interviewer named Barbara Walters asked stars that if they were a tree, what kind would they be. So I asked Jenni if she could be an animal what kind would she be, and she said a horse.

She read books like ‘The Black Stallion’ and ‘‘Saddle Club’ books, and hopes to actually own a horse some day. I hope she gets one, because I want Jenni to have whatever she wants.

I asked her what her favorite pair of shoes was, and she said her Nike sneakers, and in the winter her Eastland boots. Since she lives in Arkansas, she probably needs to think about keeping her feet warm in the winter.

I asked her about her favorite fruit and vegetable, and she told me she hates fruit! She is the only other girl in my life that hates fruit, and I don’t understand how anyone can be like that.

She said that corn is a good vegetable, but that is what everyone says. I like vegetables, and have always been willing to try eating foods even when they look really strange.

I had to ask her about Elvis Presley, because she is a big fan of his. She even runs an Elvis fan club—did you know that? If you are between 20 and 30 and like Elvis, why don’t you email her and become one of her fan club members?

She said her favorite songs are ‘The Wonder of You’, and the new re-mix of ‘A Little Less Conversation’. She says it’s easy to say you like ‘Hound Dog’ and ‘Don’t Be Cruel’.

I told her I heard of a woman that has one of Elvis’s warts, and was offered a million dollars for it. I asked her if she had the money if she would buy it, and she said ‘no’.

She wishes she could have seen him sing in-person. I would, too; but since she’s a Christian she’ll get to do that some day.

Here is some NASCAR stuff she told me:

She’s met Matt Kenseth, Jeff Burton, and Elliott Sadler (my mother is jealous about her meeting Jeff Burton ). She’s also wild about Kurt Busch, but I always see him with some girl on TV.

I would like Kurt to know that he’s making a big mistake.

If Kurt Busch happens to be reading this, I hope he re-thinks things, and gives Jenni a call.

If HE doesn’t fall in love with her, then he’s just stupid.

I wish I were older, so that I could think about things like that with Jenni.

Since she was born in 1981 that makes her seven years older than me. Maybe if she stays single, I’ll have a chance.

I enjoyed doing this article about you, Jenni. Thank you for answering my questions, and everything you have done for me.
