Joshua To Interview Artie Kempner, and Be Interviewed by Matt Yocum

This past summer, Joshua agreed to speak at the National Autism Conference in Pittsburgh. Two of his diagnoses fall under the 'autism umbrella of disorders': PDD (Pervasive Developmental Disorder), and Asperger's Disorder.

He has spoken publicly before, and looks forward to each presentation. He worked on his speech for a few days, and made sure he included the wonderful opportunities and events that have occurred in his life since entering the world of NASCAR.

He mentioned that he'd interviewed Mike Joy, Fox Sports announcer. And that so many good things have happened in his life since his discovery of NASCAR.

In attendance in the audience was Artie Kempner, Director of Fox Sports. He has a son with autism, and has been heavily involved with the National Autism Society, and in autism awareness.

He made sure that he met Joshua after his presentation, to compliment him, and to introduce himself. He was so impressed with Joshua that he invited him to be his special guest at next spring's Bristol race, as well as the '05 Daytona 500.

He also sincerely asked Joshua for his thoughts, opinions, and suggestions about FoxSports's coverage of NASCAR racing. Joshua said he would think about that and let him know.

With the end of the current NASCAR season looming, and Fox's coverage re-beginning in February, Joshua contacted Artie and asked if he could interview him. Artie has happily agreed to do so. Please keep stopping by for more news about this.

Also, Artie facilitated Joshua contacting Matt Yocum, who will interview Joshua about his interviews and involvement in NASCAR. Believe me, Joshua has already planned to ask Matt if he can interview him in turn.

This is just incredible news. Since I shared Artie's return email with Joshua, he has just been beaming. As he placed the call to Matt Yocum, and leave the message with him, his smile was wide and joyous. He has just been floating since.

Words can't express what that happiness and joy means to me. Blessings upon Artie and Matt, and the whole wonderful world of NASCAR.

What a difference you have all made in our lives.

So stay tuned for further updates! And keep on eye on this wonderful kid!
