SUE SCOTT--BIRTHDAY ANGEL

Every day is someone's birthday. And they are all special occasions. It's the one day a year that a person can call theirs, get presents, and be treated nicer than usual. What's not to like about that?

Today is a rather special birthday day, however, because it honors a woman as close to an earthly angel as you'll ever meet. She keeps her wings and halo discreetly hidden, but you can be certain they are there.

She's a wife to David, and mother to Megan. Up until very recently she worked outside the home as well, making her one of those 'supermoms'.

She would most likely still be doing so, but her physical self has made that impossible. Sue has been burdened with a disease that has weakened her body; but those wings continue to flutter, and that halo still shines brightly.

If you are a NASCAR fan and have a computer, you have most likely heard of Sue. In fact, it's very likely you receive her internet newsletter, "Sue's Racin' News 'n Views", in your email box regularly. Her readership is 10,000+ strong. That's a lot of email boxes.

It's a lot of work, too. You can count on a delightful potpourri of articles from the best racing sites in cyberspace. She also brings you stats, news, and personal information that make every one of her newsletters looked forward to and enjoyed.

Most likely she has compiled many of these when she really didn't feel like doing so. But her dedication to her readers is strong. She won't sell your name to anyone, and she has tried very hard not to have to include ads to get in the way of her readers' racing news. However, having had to leave her job has necessitated her sometimes imitating your local public broadcasting station. Be sure she doesn't like rattling her cup anymore than they do, but if rubbin' is racin', then asking for donations is what brings you special programming. And cyber-newsletters.

Joshua Walker of 'CAWSNJAWS' fame, and hot young interviewer, interviewed this wonderful lady recently. You can read this insightful and delightful piece at the cawsnjaws message board at Frontstretch(http://www.frontstretch.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6192 ). Please honor this giving and compassionate angel, and take a moment to enjoy a little glance into her life.

Happy Birthday, Sue. And thousands of prayers for many more.
