For those of you NASCAR fans that like stats and love to hate commercials, here is the breakdown from the race on Sunday afternoon.
I started recording the times as the Invocation for the race was given at 1:24 PM, and stopped at the waving of the checkered flag at 4:47 PM (all times are EST). I did not keep records for the pre- and post-race coverage.
Here is my breakdown, thoroughly unprofessional, and, hopefully, easy-to-understand.
Please note that in addition to all of the following, there is always a company logo flashing in the upper right hand corner of the screen by the race ticker scrolling across the screen.

why are there still so many commercials? Are the commercials more important than the race? For those of us who don’t have the luxory of making each race in person and are forced to either watch on tv or listen on radio,I for one is getting sick and tired of missing whats going on during the breaks.who cares about commercials. If they keep doing what they’re doing I’ll find something else to do while those guys are racing and just read about who won the race from the local paper.I’m losing interest more and more these days of racing.
